Features

High-pressure and high-speed filling die-casting aluminum mold is the two major characteristics of die-casting aluminum. Its commonly used injection pressure is from thousands to tens of thousands of kPa, even as high as 2 x 105kPa. The filling speed is about 10~50 m/s, and sometimes even more than 100 m/s. The filling time is very short, generally in the range of 0.01~0.2s.

Advantages
1. Good product quality: high dimensional accuracy of castings, generally equivalent to grade 6-7 or even grade 4; good surface finish, generally equivalent to grade 5-8; high strength and hardness, generally 25-30% higher strength than sand casting, but the elongation is reduced by about 70%; stable size and good interchangeability; die-casting aluminum thin-walled complex castings. For example, the current zinc alloy die casting aluminum wall thickness of up to 0.3mm; aluminum alloy castings up to 0.5mm; small casting aperture of 0.7mm; small pitch of 0.75mm.
2. High production efficiency: high machine productivity. For example, the domestic JⅢ 3 horizontal cold air die casting aluminum machine can die cast aluminum 600-700 times in 8 hours on average, and the small hot chamber die casting aluminum machine can die cast aluminum 3000-7000 times every 8 hours on average. Die-cast aluminum has a long service life. A pair of die-cast aluminum and die-cast aluminum clock alloys can have a service life of hundreds of thousands of times or even millions of times. Easy to realize mechanization and automation.
3. Excellent economic effect: due to the precise size of die-cast aluminum parts, the table is smooth and clean. Generally, it is no longer used directly for mechanical processing, or the amount of processing is very small, so it not only improves the metal utilization rate, but also reduces a large number of processing equipment and working hours; the casting price is cheap; the combination of die casting aluminum can be used to other metal or non-metal materials. It saves both assembly man-hours and metal.


Disadvantages
1. When die-casting aluminum, due to the high speed of liquid metal filling the cavity and the unstable flow state, the general die-casting aluminum method is adopted, and the casting is easy to produce pores and cannot be heat treated;
2, the concave complex casting, die casting aluminum is more difficult
3, high melting point alloy (such as copper, ferrous metal), die casting aluminum type life is low;
4. It is not suitable for small batch production. The main reason is that the manufacturing cost of die-casting aluminum type is high, the production efficiency of die-casting aluminum machine is high, and small batch production is not economical.
