The difference between extruded aluminum profiles and die-casting aluminum products

Extruded aluminum profiles are extruded by a round aluminum rod heated to its critical point through an extruder. The die casting aluminum is made of aluminum ingot and alloy materials, melted by the furnace, into the die casting machine mold forming. The shape of die-cast aluminum products can be designed like toys, with different shapes to facilitate connection in various directions.

Industrial Aluminum Profile

In fact, the difference between them is very simple. From the appearance, the extruded aluminum profile is a long strip with a unified cross section. Generally speaking, it is sawed from any length, and the shape is the same. And if you look closely, you can see some fine extrusion lines. For example, square tubes, round tubes, aluminum rows, and angle aluminum are extruded aluminum profiles with relatively simple cross sections. And die-cast aluminum products do not have a fixed cross-section and shape, die-cast aluminum products are cast, one by one, without sawing.

General aluminum profile

Let's take a look at the difference between the two processing methods. The extruded aluminum profile is heated to its critical point by the extruder. The die casting aluminum is made of aluminum ingot and alloy materials, melted by the furnace, into the die casting machine mold forming. The shape of die-cast aluminum products can be designed like toys, with different shapes to facilitate connection in various directions. In addition, it has high hardness and strength, and can be mixed with zinc into zinc aluminum alloy. The cost of die-casting aluminum products is much higher than that of extruded aluminum profiles, and it is not easy to repair the die if there are differences in size design.

Die casting aluminum products

To sum up, the extruded aluminum profile uses a mechanical processing method without melting metal materials; aluminum alloy die casting is a casting method, which must first melt the metal material, and then inject the molten aluminum alloy into the mold for cooling and forming, and then take it out of the mold.
